Gustavo Massuia

Gustavo Massuia is Head of Global Services for southern Europe in Amazon Web Services (AWS), where it leads operations in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. In more than 25 years of international career between telecommunications, strategic consulting and cloud, has built businesses from scratch, transformed complex organizations and guided people across four continents.

An electronic engineer by training, graduated from the FEI University Center in São Paulo, he began his career at Lucent Technologies as a Technical Team Leader, leading product implementations in Sweden and Sri Lanka. In 2000 he founded MCIT, a Digital Business & IT consulting firm with offices in Brazil, Italy, Germany, Mexico and the UK. His founding experience then led him to lead the Italian branch of Stefanini, a Brazilian IT multinational, first as Managing Director and then as Partner, with responsibility for business start-up and commercial development on the Italian market.

The dimensional leap comes with Ericsson, where he coordinates a complete digital transformation program for Entel Chile and Peru, leading a team of more than 150+ people from 9 different countries: Chile, Peru, India, Portugal, Sweden, Brazil, Colombia, Germany and Canada.

He then moved to IBM, where he achieved double-digit growth in the Cloud and Cognitive areas and won the internal award for the best differentiated solution. He then arrived at KPMG Brazil as Lead Partner for Telecommunications, contributing to the national debate on the adoption of 5G and the digital transformation of the sector, with interventions on specialized media such as TI Inside and Teletime.

The training reflects the breadth of the career: MBA obtained at three first-level institutions, MIT, Columbia University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, built on an engineering base and a practice developed in profoundly different markets.

Since 2021 he has been with AWS, where he works daily on the border between organizational transformation, adoption of artificial intelligence and people leadership on an international scale.
