Giuseppe Sollazzo

Giuseppe Sollazzo contributes to defining the strategic direction for the development and adoption of transformative artificial intelligence solutions in the UK public sector. A Senior Civil Servant in the UK government, he works at the intersection of AI, data, innovation, and digital transformation on a national scale. Previously, he was Deputy Director for Data Enablement at the Department for Work and Pensions, leading a 200-person division dedicated to national-scale data products and transforming its leadership on Agile principles. He also launched the NHS AI Lab's AI Skunkworks & Deployment program, considered one of the first public AI incubators in the UK. Before that, he was Head of Data at the Department for Transport and a member of the Open Data User Group, contributing to the UK government's open data agenda. Educated in Computer Science at the University of Bologna, he has built an international profile as a public leader in artificial intelligence, data strategy, open data and technological innovation. Author of the Quantum of Sollazzo newsletter and active in data and technology dissemination, he represents an excellence in AI management applied to public administration and complex digital services.
