How can we solve problems in depth?

When something doesn’t work, we tend to stop at the first explanation we find: “There wasn’t enough time,” “Communication was ineffective,” “There was a lack of clarity.”
These are all valid explanations, but they only scratch the surface. If we truly want to solve a problem — not just patch it up — we need to understand why it happened. And then, why that “why” happened. And so on, until we reach the real root.
The 5 Whys method is exactly that: a simple yet powerful tool to dig deeper.
