Paolo Massimi

Paolo Massimi is Senior Director AI & Data Science at Meta, where he leads activities related to ranking and monetization through the use of data, algorithms, and artificial intelligence models on a global scale. His work focuses on building data-driven organizations capable of transforming large volumes of information into decisions, products, and business impact.

Before Meta, he held leadership roles at Airbnb and Uber, leading data science teams on topics such as marketplace, product, guest and host experience, and demand and supply optimization. Previously, he also worked at Stitch Fix and Lattice Engines, bringing advanced expertise in machine learning, analytics and predictive modeling in highly complex digital environments.

With a PhD in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and academic experience at Stanford University, he represents an Italian excellence in the field of applied AI, data science, and international technological leadership.
